So it’s been about 3 months since I’ve started updating 5 times a week. While it was a fun challenge and I learned a lot doing it, it has also taken quite a lot of time to write all of this. Doing the daily updates didn’t bring the boost in visits I hoped it would, but it has taken a toll on my personal life.
So I’ll be slowing down a bit, updating less often. I plan on updating the site every Monday still, so I’m not abandoning the site at all. This will also likely improve the quality of my posts, since I won’t have to find something worth writing about each day.
See ya next Monday!

3 months is not long enough to build up readership. Also, to build up readership, you have to comment on other people’s blogs because they don’t actually know you exist.
Don’t trust google to bring your readers… go get them.

You’re absolutely right. I’ve got 2 choices, really: work harder on this site to promote it and make it better, or slow down a bit and have more time for myself. The current situation is just more work with not much more results, so some change is needed. I’ve decided to opt for the second approach because, right now, I don’t really have the will to spend even more time on the site.
I might actually get more readers if I update a bit less often but use some of the saved time to promote the site a bit more.
If things settle down a bit more for me, I might come back to updating daily eventually. I liked it, but I’m just too busy
